Overview

From sport and adventure to traditional summer camps, children of all ages are learning new skills, making new friends and enjoying the benefits of attending one or more camps each year. Camp season, a time when children engage in activities like ropes courses, kayaking, horseback riding and swimming, can also increase the likelihood of accidents and injuries. In fact, more accidents and personal injuries involving children occur during the summer months than any other time of the year.*

AIG’s Camp Accident Insurance allows camping organizations to provide accident and medical benefits for campers, staff, and volunteers who are injured during their stay. These plans complement an organization’s general liability plan by covering injuries under a separate accident policy. They also provide valuable supplementary coverage for medical expenses that may not be covered under a provincial healthcare program.

We build inclusive plans that cover campers, staff, volunteers and other participants on premises, in the care of the camp owners or while travelling to and from the camp. It’s the vital coverage that camps need to prepare for unexpected accidents or illnesses
